Do something for yourself and society

Our project’s topic is youth unemployment. We know that many organizations are trying to deal with this situation, but we think this topic that will be always actual. Youth unemployment always existed and will exist, but that doesn’t mean that we, civil organizations can’t do anything for solving this problem. Participants will raise their knowledge and their profitable competences, and
with their current knowledge and attitude they will be able to start their own start up or social enterprise. Our project’s aim to bring closer for-profit and nonprofit enterprises to youth, we would like them to look at the subject with the eyes of a professional, to raise their entrepreneur spirit.
Both occasions we will use non-formal methods, like group work, roundtable talks, world café, presentations, brainstorming, interactive presentations.

During the first stage of the project participants learnt how they can cooperate with others as a team, they gained their entrepreneurship knowledge, they learnt the basics about businesses. We established the cooperation between participants because they had to create business ideas for the second youth exchange in teams.

Between the two youth exchanges participants created their own business ideas in small groups. During the second part of the project in Hungary they’ve learnt how they can present and promote their ideas so those can become actual businesses. Using their new knowldge they improved their concpets and presented them to young people from the local high school. These were business ideas which they can make money with but also help other people and raise social awareness.

Change

With this idea participants would like to respond for the problem of high unemployment rate, low educational level, low quality of formal education, unqualified workforce. The main idea is the reconciliation of supply and demand in labor market; they would make an institution which organizes trainings for the unemployed that meet the demands of companies. They would also make contact between the unemployed and companies.

IFA – Instant Friends Everywhere

These days many people move abroad for short or long term because of work opportunities, volunteering or studying. These people may find hard to fit in their new environment. Participants would create a website which helps these people to find other people in the area with similar interest sor find local events which fit to their interest. After getting in touch online they could meet offline.

Outdoors

Participants would create a store where they would sell products used for outdoors activities, for example shoes, tents, clothes, camping equipment. In every store there would be a „help basket” where people can leave their clothes they don’t use anymore and the store will use them to help scouts associations and those people who cannot afford new equipment for their outdoor activities. The stores would donate 2% of their profit every month to non-profit associations who care about the environment.

A&B

Participants would create a delivery service for those people who are not able to go to the grocery store (because of their age, disease, etc.). There would be an app and a website where these people can make their orders and delivery guys would deliver the products. Also the company would make agreements with stores so they can buy products on lower costs and in return the delivery service would advertise them (for example they would put the store’s logo on their car). They delivery would cost 2% of the whole cost for the customers. The delivery service would also cooperate with insurance companies.

IDEAL

The idea is about protecting the environment and supporting recycling. Participants would make a vending machine which people would use to put their trash in it for recycling and in return they would get money. The machine would also provide internet access, 5 minutes of wi-fi connection would cost one euro and it also would function as a regular vending machine so people could buy snacks and soda. If people don’t need money for their trash they could donate it to several non-profit organizations through an application.
